most beautiful cities in Europe. Both are located in Belgium, so you can easily explore them both in a
single day.
Bruges
From the center of Brussels, you will set off for Bruges, the most beautiful medieval city in the world, which
will greet you on the shores of the Lake of Love. After seeing it, you will go to the Beguinage, one of the
most emblematic spots in Bruges. You will also pass by Walpein Square, where the monumental Church of
Our Lady houses Michelangelo's Madonna. You will cross the famous St. Boniface Bridge and, once in the
historic center, you should not miss the Town Hall Square or Burg Square, the nerve center of the town. The
façades of the historic buildings there, such as the Basilica of the Holy Blood, will amaze you. This is the
most representative church in the city. In the Main Square, you will see the famous Belfort Belfry, another
of the city's World Heritage monuments.
Ghent
After some free time in Bruges, you will head for Ghent, one of the best-preserved medieval cities of the
old continent. You will see the Town Hall and the famous towers of Ghent. One of them, St. Bavo's
Cathedral, will be the first tower you will see. A few meters from this temple, in the Ghent Belfry, is the
second one. You will pass the Wheat Market and the Main Square. Nearby is the church of Saint Nicholas,
where you will see the third of the towers. In addition, you will stroll along the canals that run through the
town before setting off on your return journey to Brussels. You will do so after having fallen in love with
these two medieval cities forever.
